Change Something Fund
The Change Something Fund is your chance to change something in your community by awarding grants to young people’s projects. The fund is part of Youth 19 and is funded by Derry City and Strabane District Council (DCSDC) in partnership with the National Lottery Community Fund and is being delivered by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland’ Acorn Fund. The second round of funding is now open for applications by clicking the button below.
A total of £100,000 is available in the fund where grants from £200 to £3,000 will be available to young people aged 12-24 who submit applications. £50,000 of the total fund was allocated in December 2018 and the second round grants will be awarded in April 2019.
Change Something activities can be any activity or initiative that is important to you and that will make a difference in your local community.
Funding applications will be judged by a committee of young people aged 13-24.
Applications will be accepted between 15th March 2019 and the 11th April 2019.

Meet the Judges
Young people aged 12-24 had the opportunity to join the committee and judge applications to the #ChangeSomethingFund
Our panel of judges was selected in October 2018 and selected 26 organisations to benefit from the fund in the first round. They will also select the successful organisations who applied through the second round, judging of which takes place in May.
