Completing a PEACE IV Design Thinking programme delivered by Enterprise North West, local young people have come up with some creative new ideas to motivate teenagers across the City and District, in support of the Youth 19 programme for Derry and Strabane. With £10,000 available for the implementation of a proposed solution to young people having “nothing to do”;  the young people pitched their ideas to a panel.

Winning pitch

Re-Image, presented by Sean Kelly, Christopher McGrath and James Burke was awarded the full asking price to Re-Imaging an area within the Strabane Town centre with street art, planting, lighting, creative seating. The group hope to create a safe inviting space to the young people of Strabane providing them with a sense of belonging and ownership within the community.

Active Community Involvement have secured budget to deliver a Mental Health Boot Camp to the young people of Strabane.
